  Re: UMC Hospital

(...) Thanks John... this UMC is an amalgam of bland municpal building designs circa 1970's. My wife works at a UMC here in Fresno, but when we traveled 11 states last year for her interviews, every major city seemed to have a UMC, so why not (...) (21 years ago, 19-Apr-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: UMC Hospital

(...) John- I've actually been to the UMC in Tuscon, it was one of the first interviews, and definetly played a part in the inspiration for this hospital. We also got a chance to see the biosphere while we were there. Very cool, and I've had it on (...) (21 years ago, 19-Apr-03, to lugnet.build)

My only suggestion would be to add a much smaller gun like a .50 cal near the front. Again, very cool (...) (21 years ago, 20-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: UMC Hospital open for business

(...) Kevin, thanks for the kind words and feedback. To answer your questions, the sliding doors in the front and the emergency room entrance do indeed slide. However, the elevator towers are a big falsehood. The towers are empty shells. I intended (...) (21 years ago, 20-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: UMC Hospital open for business

(...) Roy, thanks for the feedback. When I was building UMC your hospital was one that I looked at for inspiration and just to see what had already been done. I thought your interiors were excellent, and the exterior seemed to have a European (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Mini Star Wars and the Moonbase Project

(...) Derek, the mini-moonbase rocks. I like it much better than some of the regular size modules I've seen. It has a very cool, industrial feel to it. I especially liked the module that was mostly x-wing parts. I can only imagine how good it would (...) (21 years ago, 22-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Mech Family Portrait & Lukewarm Leftovers

Here are some salvaged snapshots from doomed projects. While not Shelfworthy as a complete project, I think this selection has merit. You be the judge, jury, and if need be excecutioner. A warning to mecha-fans, the only mech-related shot is the (...) (21 years ago, 24-Apr-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: unlurk- some stuff i made

(...) Ok Spencer, take this with a grain of salt. I have no idea of your part inventory so some of my suggestions may be useless to you. I'm giving you the kind of feedback that I like to get, a mix of the good and the bad. Here goes: -the ground (...) (21 years ago, 24-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Mech Family Portrait & Lukewarm Leftovers

(...) AGENdA is completely fictitious, sort of a ska-heavy metal band that is actually a creation of a non-posting friend of mine Mike Rutherford. I just built a stage for them, and added a guitar player. I think they were initially supposed to be a (...) (21 years ago, 24-Apr-03, to lugnet.build)

Now, before other people come rushing to his defence, to his huge credit, Spencer has specifically said that he "wont cry" (...) (21 years ago, 28-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military)

Submitted for your approval, Station 39. Its kind of like Station 45 but...you'll see. (...) Travis, thanks for the kind words. The technic pin is just friction attached over the small nub on the binos. Not all pins work, and it is a bit fragile, but the connection is legit, without glue or any non-lego alteration. Thanks again, Keith (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

(...) David, first of all the golems are epic. The first thing that came to mind was the gorilla similarity, but with an evil piggish face. I think they would look quite intimidating in large numbers. Well done. -Keith (21 years ago, 6-May-03, to lugnet.castle)
