Isn't "Astromech" a _type_ of Droid? (as "pickup" is a type of truck, though sometimes used as a noun itself) Interesting curiosity; "Red" - the R2 with a bad motivator that Owen first purchased - is referred to in the script I've got as an (...) I have used the old style motor to shoot 3/8 inch wooden balls with a range of 2-3 feet. Used about a 2 inch shaft attached directly to the motor to bat the balls. The shaft made 3/4 of a revolution before hitting the ball, then it hit a hard stop. (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
