Well here's another unknown LEGO set (there's still plenty out there!).... It was purchased by a German acquaintance at a German auction, and is unlike any wooden box set I've seen before... very unusual. It has 24 compartments... which is the (...) (12 years ago, 10-Jan-13, to lugnet.general)

1973 - the year LEGO Terminated the Samsonite USA LEGO License... For those folks who like looking at old LEGO catalogs... there's a big gap in the the American LEGO catalog lists... more like a 2 year gap. In 1970 TLG started legal action to revoke (...) For the most part, I think you're spot on-- although I don't foresee a huge outcry from fans regarding a change in support for LUGs and events.
