  Re: Basic Train Elements

(...) I hardly ever use any of the special train elements. Other than track, the new large wheels, and the old style couplers (with removable magnets), it has been a couple of years since I used a special train piece. I use (URL) wheels otherwise, (...) (14 years ago, 30-Oct-10, to lugnet.trains)

  LDD worse than before?

Not sure if it is just me, but has the new version of LDD gone a little crazy? I have been trying to place a 4x4 plate on top of a square made with two 1x2 and two 1x4 bricks, and it will not line up whatsoever. It has the plate half a stud off each (...) (...) Does your username and password also work for a NNTP connection to Lugnet? (That would be new - but very helpful - to me.) Or are you talking about the web interface? Play well, Jacob (14 years ago, 30-Oct-10, to lugnet.general)

(...) I think you just confirmed what I just said...after getting membership, you still can not post messages. You have to jump through another hoop (that is not obvious) with confirmation emails and the like. Call it two flavors of membership, or (...) (14 years ago, 30-Oct-10, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Forum shift

(...) As of just a few days ago, I've been a LUGNET member for 10 years. In that time I've posted hundreds of messages, and I've never once had to use any kind of "authentication email." I'm not sure what you're doing wrong to get something like (...) (14 years ago, 30-Oct-10, to lugnet.general)

(...) Rob, thats a cool link. Thanks. I saw this from another site; and was amazed. Chris (14 years ago, 30-Oct-10, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Basic Train Elements

I have been digging around online Pick-a-brick to find out the various elements I would need to get the basic stuff to get a train going (wheels, axles, plates, buffers, etc). Besides finding the right elements (I am using the parts list from the (...) (14 years ago, 30-Oct-10, to lugnet.trains)

(...) There's no f*#$ing reason for authentication emails. NNTP has a good and fine password authentication mechanism built in. Jacob (14 years ago, 29-Oct-10, to lugnet.general)

(...) I think you may be confused - as far as I know there has only ever been 1 flavour of membership (see (URL) And you do not have to be a member to post, you just need to go through the posting setup process (see (URL) I do agree that is a little (...)
