  Re: All about me!

(...) Ummm, Dave.... While its cool to see you in your mis-spent "yoot" and while it IS cool to see all the lego... I just don't know if you want the greater Lugnet comunity to know about the DOLL house you got for x-mas in the 70's. Chris (16 years ago, 7-Nov-08, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Re: Beating up, kicking, and verbally abusing an old dead rotted horse...

(...) My understanding is that the new Wine supports the .NET framework using MONO (open source implementation of nearly all of .NET). I think it is older programs, and game-like programs (like LEGO's designer) that it has trouble with. -Chris Gray (16 years ago, 7-Nov-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

  London Drugs Sale

I don't know how widespread their flyers are, but I just got a London Drugs flyer that says that from Nov 10 to Nov 30, all Lego is 20% off. -Chris Gray (16 years ago, 7-Nov-08, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: LPub Rotation Step angle woes

(...) Please note that instead of "0 ROTSTEP 0 0 0 REL", the preferred meta command is "0 ROTSTEP END". (...) There are 4 kinds of ROTSTEPS: REL, ABS, ADD, END For REL, you add the angles from the ROTSTEP meta to the default viewing angle to get the (...)   Re: LPub Rotation Step angle woes

(...) The more I think about it, the more I suspect that LDView 3.2 on the Mac is to blame. I sent Allen an email with a link to an LDView 4 test build. --Travis (16 years ago, 6-Nov-08, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

  All about me!

Putting Chris's hat on for a moment... (URL) Early '70's at Christmas. Those were the days--receiving LEGO sets at Christmas... oh wait, I still do :) Dave K (16 years ago, 6-Nov-08, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Re: Beating up, kicking, and verbally abusing an old dead rotted horse...

(...) It is indeed written using MFC, which it makes extensive use of for the GUI. Porting it to another platform would take considerable effort. I think what I'm going to do first is get the source code into a package I can release (and archive!) (...) (16 years ago, 6-Nov-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

Re: LPub Rotation Step angle woes

(...) snip (...) Alas. That is what I'm supposed to see, not what I actually do see. Something is convinced that the 0,0,0 rotation is actually equal to the default 3D angle, which causes requests for the real default 3D angle to be over-rotated. (...)   Working Container Crane

Re: Beating up, kicking, and verbally abusing an old dead rotted horse...

(...) If Matt or someonelse rewrite the code (open sourced or not) I would suggest to use a framework that is available to most of the OS like Qt or GTk. That way it would be really easy to port to all OS not just the most known. Wine is working (...) (16 years ago, 6-Nov-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

(...) Given the reports that its using MFC, it would be easier to rewrite a new version from scratch than to port the existing one. (16 years ago, 6-Nov-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

(...) For me, the great think about Track Designer is that it runs just fine under the Wine Windows emulator. I've used it that way under my X86-64 Linux machine for several layouts, including working on NALUG layouts for train shows. I've never (...)
