  Re: GP-9 Locomotive & 136-Stud Truss Bridge

(...) Jordan: Thanks! No, it wasn't built specifically from the Hobby Train box. The base came from the Holiday Train and some of the other pieces were from other various sets. I just pulled the pieces I needed from my sorted/stored collection. (...) (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: GP-9 Locomotive & 136-Stud Truss Bridge

(...) ::snip:: Nice work, Dave! That's one big bridge... And the loco looks quite faithful to a GP9 - was it built from parts in the Hobby Train Box? It has the look of that same color scheme. -Jordan Schwarz (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Help identifying a set

(...) Thanks Jordan and Erik! The side of this box says "Recommended for children from 3 years and up" to add to the variants ; ) But it is a canadian version, and that often accounts for changes in printing even on newer sets... Thanks again and (...) (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

A very large estate brick collection

Posting in Marketplace 'cause it really is selling bricks, but this is a complete 'not for profit' by me--I'm just trying to help someone. - - - I was recently put in contact with a Diane who lives in the Greater Toronto Area. Her husband passed (...) (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Walmart no longer selling LEGO

(...) Jude, thank you for this link. It is sad to lose a supplier, but we still have Zellers, and they often have the Buy One, Get One at half price. Maybe with a shift to Zellers, the Zellers buyers might see more "demand" and carry a larger (...) (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

dinner, meals, and POSTING via NNTP

Anyone know when the next "World Famous" RTL dinner is? Anyone know when we might get to challenge our RCXen to a new game with cans? anyone? Anyone else know why over the course of 36 hours, I've re-sent this same message 4 time to RTL via NNTP (...) (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Hoth LEGO Store Display

(...) Nice work! You've met the challenge of the tall, thin display space well. I must say, having never been in a proper LEGO store, I am envious! Spotlighted, naturally. Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: New mecha: Tyr

(...) Nice work, Jon! I particularly like the choice of colours - subtle, but interesting. One minor criticism: the shoulders seem a little broad, a studs width of two off each side would help, I think. Spotlighted! Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: LEGOLAND Discovery Center to Open in Illinois

(...) That seems very very odd to me. Streets of Woodfield is jam packed as it is, I can't possibly see them putting something like that in there unless something else huge moves out. Carson Pirie Scott is the only anchor store, so to speak, and (...) (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.mediawatch)
