(...) OK, I played around with this tonight for a few hours, and finally came up with something that I think I'm happy with. (...) To me, the reasons are mainly "historical": the first way to get better images than the output of Ldraw/MLCad/LeoCAD (which is not that bad for instructions!) was POV-Ray. Here are a few of my ideas: robotic arm (advanced version of set #8094) carnival rides (set #4957 is a good start) areal cable car (similar to the one in idea book #8889) remote controlled hovercraft (could be moving around on wheels) airplane with (...)
