The message "toggle" bit was a good concept that has very limited value in practical use. I guess the intent was to prevent unexpected behavior when a PC program attempts retransmission after a message failure. Suppose the failure condition was that (...) LDD is not working for me...it won't load! After starting the program, the start-up page comes on-screen and indicates that it is loading parts. It gets to 182 parts and freezes. Checking on system performance shows LDD to be non-responsive and (...) (21 years ago, 15-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad)
