Re: When will the Vikings raid the US?

(...) Hey Brendan, in an aside on your Biblical scenes, you should do one of the Vikings landing at England's Lindisfarne Island and pillaging the monastery in AD 883 (it shocked all of Christendom). You could show the surviving monks carrying off (...) (20 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) I hope people like the photos: However, I can't say I'm really in THAT deliberate control of depth of field...it's really from: a) shooting with a f1.8 prime lens open pretty wide. (...) Well I didnt bother working out the exact lengths, but I found (URL) this technique> works ok. I've since refined it to allow normal steering and crab steering, and anything in between, but have yet to actually complete a MOC using it. ROSCO (20 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Life size guns and assault rifles on Brickshellf-- opinions?

Hey all, I’ve noticed lately that there has been a serge in the amount of MOC's built on the theme of guns and assault rifles. Now I really don't want to cause a fuss considering there are weapons throughout the Lego line but for some reason life (...)   They look pretty cool!

Thanks for the link, Bruce! I'm not crazy about the speckled plastic used for the boulders and armor, but the set designs look excellent! It bugs me to see so much Bionicle (in the dragons), and I understand it's all part of the same system, but I'd (...) (20 years ago, 20-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: When will the Vikings raid the US?

Thanks to everyone for the info on the Viking sets. Looks like I won't be able to put them on my wishlist for my birthday in early September, but I am certainly glad to hear that these sets *will* be available in the US. Because, you know, they're (...) (20 years ago, 21-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

(...) Hi Didier, we're glad to hear that you are home and safe. I showed Vangie the picture and she was delighted. We both enjoyed meeting you so much. And thanks for sharing your solution to the slope problem :) See you next year? Cyndi (20 years ago, 20-Aug-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Have '87 Catalog with many alternate/different set names

(...) Earlier today I started on the driver's cab (again using the cab of the set 8421 as a base, I was able to modify it, ie give it doors that open and close). It didn't take too much time, but what was a real problem was the pins. After pushing (...) (20 years ago, 20-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)
