  Re: Archangel Preview

(...) Well, I took those pictures, edited, and uploaded them after posting. PRetty fast moderation on b-shelf these days. (...) Yeah, blocky it is, I should probably fix that if I rework the model like I usually end up doing. The chicken-thing is my (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) Huh, I don't think I've heard of minifig scale being more than 1:44 (making "standard" minifigs just over 6 feet tall). Except maybe for specific projects? 1:45 would make them about 6'2.4" (1.89m) tall, 2'3.5" (72cm) wide, and 1'2.2" (36cm) (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

(...) Preview? I saw (URL) this> marked as "final" and added your post to the sidebar. (...) Not too shabby Ryan. Pretty blocky, shoulders, hip armor, and lower legs (with rounded corners though) all seem really sqare. I'll give you credit though, (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

A kinda-late reminder about tomorrow's SMART meeting: 2pm at Digipen. Whoever is interested, we'll go to Red Robin afterwards. See you there! -- David Schilling (21 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: An alternative open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company

(...) That's my understanding as well. That's a good summary of what Jake posted here (URL) and referred to here (URL). What's more, to my knowledge, that's the only reason which TLG have provided. Seems to me that either its fact or an outright (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: Rendering implementation details

(...) Actually, one can bring the number of transformations down to 1 for the entire _object_. Interesting what can happen when an idea sits in the brain and percolates for a couple of days. A new idea I had was to just transform the camera position (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jan-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Bricksaic version 0.1.0

(...) Yes, I have some problems I would like added ;] This program is great! I especially like some of the cool effects you can get with the "Nearest colour" dither.   Re: MOC 8436: Cranetruck

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) I too had the same dream but in a bit warmer climate. There used to be this old church for sale on Amelia Island in Florida that I thought would be a great location for a LEGO museum / shop.   slightly OT, but yet another use for Legos

Sorry it's not a cool construction but maybe this will at least make you smile. The problem with photographing camera lenses (other than needing at least two to make it possible) is: how to hold the cylindrical but often lumpy or tapering lenses? (...)
