(...) Oh no no! course not! what I was talking about is merely a contest that would allow teens to feel comfortable in displaying their MOCs, and not necessarily exclude others in the process. I only don't want the builders with higher skill levels (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.people.teens, FTX)

(...) I had no idea that L3Lab had POV output, in spite the fact that I've been using it daily for years! Hmm, very intersting. The alternative approach that comes to my mind is: * LDA creates a static MPD file and runs it through L3P. * The output (...) (...) Nope, those are cables for the various sensors that have to reach up to the boom tip. Modern cranes like the AC500 have the ability to extend each segment separately. They use a hydraulic ram inside and a series of locking devices. If you (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)

Is this why on those big cranes (Demag AC 500) there are a small set of wisible pulleys on the ouraaise left side of the boom? Thanks. Thanks for the drawing. Very helpful! Keep on building cranes! (21 years ago, 17-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)

I was in a U.S. Sears yesterday and found set 4100 for $4.95 (75% Off). In my experience, Sears in the U.S. only carries Lego for a few weeks prior to Christmas - but if there is any left - this is a fantastic clearance. Might be worth a look! -- (...)
