Hi, I have to say: I just started reading Tolkien 3 years ago (6+ if you count the hobbit). I read the hobbit, and like a lot of people I know, hated it. Ahoy and G'Day I've completed the first conversion of a top hat into a shako. I used a cutting disk for most of the cutting, tidying up with a craft knife and fine sandpaper.
