I purchased two Sharp GP2D02 infrared sensors from Acroname and downloaded their interface to a Handy Board and Barry Brouilette's interface to the Handy Board. Scott, Wow, I work there! (consultant for the University), but commute from Detroit's eastern suburbs (57 miles). (...) It is a heck of a lot of complexity for a little added linearity. If you look at the plots on my general purpose interface section; the simple resistor interface is pretty linear.
