| (...) A resistor ladder is simply several resistors, connected in series with a switch between each one. On the handyboard you would do something like this: VCC ---\/\/\/---\/\/\/--.../---...--- | | | | | | \ SW1 \ SW2 \ SW3 \ SW4 \ SW5 | \ \ \ \ \ (...) | Digikey is out of stock of the ztx614 transistor. Can anyone tell me another supplier for this transistor? Can I substitute a different transistor? If so, which one(s) would work? Thanks! .... Jim Montague (28 years ago, 12-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| Does anyone know if the motor ports on the HB are spike protected? I would like to actuate a relay from a motor port. Normally a diode across the coil kills the spike, but I was wondering if the drivers on the HB already handle that. Thanks, Terry (...) (28 years ago, 12-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
