  Re: IR Collision avoidance

(...) My question is...in the first diagram (below) the resistance is 220 ohm ie 0.2KOhm But in the second diagram the resistances are 2.2KOhm Which is the correct one? ---...--- (...) (28 years ago, 12-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: 100 sensors

(...) A resistor ladder is simply several resistors, connected in series with a switch between each one. On the handyboard you would do something like this: VCC ---\/\/\/---\/\/\/--.../---...--- | | | | | | \ SW1 \ SW2 \ SW3 \ SW4 \ SW5 | \ \ \ \ \ (...) Terry, If you have the L293D or the SN754410 motor driver chips, then the diodes are present. - Prabal (...) (28 years ago, 12-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  ztx614

Digikey is out of stock of the ztx614 transistor. Can anyone tell me another supplier for this transistor? Can I substitute a different transistor? If so, which one(s) would work? Thanks! .... Jim Montague (28 years ago, 12-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Spike protection

Does anyone know if the motor ports on the HB are spike protected? I would like to actuate a relay from a motor port. Normally a diode across the coil kills the spike, but I was wondering if the drivers on the HB already handle that. Thanks, Terry (...) (28 years ago, 12-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
