| I was interested to see that Lego is being being given less prominence in the Argos/ Index ranges. It is also being displaced in Tesco/Asda/Morrisons by cheaper clones. I suppose they all caught a bit of a cold with the discounting of the Star wars (...) (26 years ago, 1-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

I'm not sure about companies getting the LEGO into China, I did see quite a bit of it in Hong Kong however, and while I never saw LEGO(tm) per se, I did see children playing with blocks that very well could have been LEGO in Shanghai.
