Re: New 9V Digital Trains for Germany this Autumn

Wow! For anyone who does not read lugnet.trains, and is wondering what this is all about (like I was) try here for the original link that apparently started this thread: (URL) God, these are some of the most beautiful Lego sets I've ever laid eyes (...)   Re: New 9V Digital Trains for Germany this Autumn

(...) Yes... "engines", but not motors. That is, you'll have to find a hollow space in your engine body somewhere for the DCC receiver module (that gray thing in the picture with the power truck, Nr. 4468) and then replace your current power truck (...)   Re: April 1st sometime in the world ... ? (Re: New Trains)

(...) I'm going to hope that it is real... I'm thinking these aren't the final versions of the pictures, that this is being used to test layout, colors, whatever. Yes, the picture quality is lower than what we're used to, but I've seen prototype (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Well, I'm not sure what you mean by "3x3 wall part, with the window in it", but all windows have appeared in other sets. Jeff (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

I thought they belong to the 12V not to 9V 2. Look at 4450 Right at (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.general) !

Re: How does one become a "Guild of Bricksmiths(tm)" member?

(...) We'll take it under advisement. Right now the process is by invite only, although I can see it ought to be a discussion topic on our internal list. Being a Guild member is a heavy burden and confers no special discounts. ++Lar (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: New 9V Digital Trains for Germany this Autumn

Awe man, good call! Yep, forget it. It is a hoax (April fools joke, as someone pointed out). And it's probably one of the best I've seen. The telltale sign for me is that you can see the around the edges of the text and models, where the images were (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: April 1st sometime in the world ... ? (Re: New Trains)

(...) I was thinking this, too. Lego now uses the "<-o->" symbol. Not to mention that the stickers are poorly applied, and Lego doesn't even use stickers for the door symbols anymore (I think, they didn't with 4558). (...) Right, too much (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains) !
