  Re: Shock Value

Again, the only reason I can afford these is the DEEP discount sales. Every single set in those pics that I am keeping have already been paid off through selling other copies on Ebay. I just paid off all 21 8480s by selling 10 on Ebay, they'll be (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

In lugnet.trains, Mike Poindexter writes: <<<SNIP>>> (...) I was thinking of setting up an amusement park train with a technic figure as the driver, and minifigs as children. It would work great in either 6 or 8. But in either case would look VERY (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Miniature Lego - Set ID

I have a number of pieces of what I can only describe as 'miniature' lego. It has the lego logo but is half the size (1/2 the width and 1/2 the height) of regular lego system bricks. It consists of 1 stud wide beams and 1 stud wide plates of various (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Too many sensors

(...) You could do it but you'd lose rotations as long as the button was pressed. You'd probably need alternate firmware to even get that working well. So on one port you can have (1 touch + 1 light/temp), (1 rotation) or (4 touch). The last with (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: Galaxy Explorer (Was Re: Poor packaging by TLC )

(...) I'm with Jeffrey. I think a lot of people get very nostalgic for Classic Space, and rate it higher because of their history with the line. Personally, I get nostalgic for the Explorien Starship, because it was the first big set I bought (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

(...) Ouch. Comparing to Lionel;-( (...) Which is fine with me. I don't run any out-of-the-box stuff anyway. What kills me is when they produce elements that *restrict* me to 6 wide (windshields, sharp curves, etc). (...) Mike and I have discussed (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Why I think we'll get Stormtroopers + Imperial ships

(...) "See Emily Play," a very early (1960s) Pink Floyd song, written by Syd Barrett. I believe it's reproduced on _Relics_ or _A Collection of Great Dance Songs_. I've been humming along with that tune every time I see one of his posts... thanks (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Looking for a part

Did anyone ever post the bracket which holds the 4x4 faceted hemisphere? I guess it would be 'Bracket 1x2 - 4x4 Round' or something. I remember John VanZwieten being involved in a discussion of the exact angle of this part[1], and I thought it was (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: 8 vs. 6 (was: Excited to Finally be here...)

(...) Nick- Remember that scale and gauge (track width) are two different things. In a particular scale, you can have different track gauges (standard and narrow for instance). 8 wide approximates O scale because 1) minifigs are about the same (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
