Here is my third addition to the Union Pacific Heritage Series: The KATY. MKT was the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Train Line, before it merged into Union Pacific.

I’m not very please with the stickers. I had to use a thicker paper that had more gloss in order to match the Dark Red.

At least it adds more color to the first two in the series. Three down, and three more to go. I’m looking forward to showing all six (and maybe a 7th in modern UP colors) at BrickWorld this June.

Let me know what you think of it.

Thanks, Scott

Awesome work as usual Scott. For getting more gloss from decals I’ve found that a few coats of Crystal Clear Acrylic Spray works well. It remains flexible after drying and gives the decal a nice LEGO like shine. Once they’re cut out I take a colored marker and touch up the white edges which also helps them blend in better with the surrounding brick.

Keep them coming.

Cale

Thanks Cale! I’ll have to give that a try on my next model.
