I hope you have survived the Saturdays "refridgerator"-talk and our hot
discussion from Sunday in Zwolle without further trouble (I got a nice cold when
being back here...).
On topic of the wheel sets, I will just give you once again a few (old) links
about our discussions here, to make clear what we were talking about.
This is the main problem: the Santa Fe wheel set frame came in a different shape
in comparison to the Metroliner from 1991, which causes quite high friction and
make the train (engine + 2..3 cars) eventually stop in curves even under full
speed 9V):

BTW: I bought set 4512 last Saturday: even with the lowest possible turn of the
speed regulator this set runs smooth. With full throttle it derails in the very
first curve. Kids will definitely love this - great stuff!!
As it seems, the 9V wheel block trouble is now past. Maybe you should only make
clear, that the customer service has "good" parts at hand also. In case of
replacements it would be bad, if they still would sent out defected wheel sets
as they did - at least for a while - in the past.

For those that suffer under high wear due to (8-wide) overload, I may give the
hint to this posting (follow the link to Klaas M.'s suggestion).
