Thanks everyone for your patient inquiries...
PNLTC confirms that we will be hosting an Ambassador Train on the L2K1
layout this August 4-5 at LEGOLAND California. I'll be heading this task
myself.
In order to streamline the process and fit a tight schedule, the terms are
as follows:
1. priority shall be given to the generally-acknowledged clubs and groups.
Individual entries are discouraged as this gets overwhelming. Limit 1 entry
per group.
2. freight or passenger cars of typical stock dimensions and configurations
are allowed. With all respect to creativity, non-standard sizes and
innovative running gear cause problems and the piece shall be set aside.
I'd like to stress that bogied trucks should incorporate stock bogie plates
-- nothing else. Details should be minimal to avoid loss and the MOC of
reasonable durability.
3. rolling stock must be sent prepayed. Please include postage in USD for
prompt return. Please include a brief note in the box, with my address
(below), your return address, and a statement explaining the item is on
loan. We'd like to see this returned to you without you having to pay any
unnecessary customs fees. Include a return label for the outside of the box.
4. please pack the item well, allowing sufficient room for padding. Over
the last 3 years, I've received numerous MOCs from 'FOLs -- all in pieces
due to poor packing.
5. rolling stock must reach my address by July 20th so that it will be
included in the shipment. Sorry, no exceptions.
6. after the event, please allow time for the shipment to return from
California and processing. I will mail these to you myself using regular
postal service. Photos to PNLTC's gallery site shall follow this.
If there are questions, please do not hesistate to post either to this
newsgroup or to me < dnvpark@gte.net >
Again, the entire show evolution is on a tight timeline and exceptions may
be difficult to manage. PNLTC feels it can maintain the exciting tradition
established by GMLTC last year. As a member of the layout planning
committee, I can tell you that the display shall be unbelievable!
See you there!

| Is anyone else taking their Ambassador cars to Brickfest? I'm trying to see how many different events around the country I can get our NGLTC box car to visit. I've actually started making little stickers to go on the back of the car that list the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)
