In December of 2001, post 9/11, I created a display at the high school where I
teach (I had a student teacher that semester) to foster understanding of other
cultures. A book titled Holidays Around the World from the childrens
section of our public library was the perfect resource.
Each scene in the display case depicted a celebration of a Winter holiday
underneath a sign indicating the holiday name, a country in which it was
celebrated, any associated religion and the date for Winter 2001. The
brickshelf folder is here:

By way of further explanation, the US holiday depicted a Walmart with the
religion listed as consumerism and the date all year.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
