Mostly the larger, more expensive sets. You can still find copies of things like:
the technic shuttle
the 8880 car
the large ww sets
etc around the place.

| (...) The general answer is (I think) that sets have a ~2 year life cycle. A particular chain (WalMart, K-Mart, etc) may discontinue a set before or after TLC does. Some sets seem to hang around forever, some seem to vanish. Target just blew out the (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jan-00, to lugnet.technic)
