The threads discussing what new mechanical functions and what new sets we
would like in Technic has got me thinking about elements that are logical
progressions of existing ones but that don't exist.
I often find myself after a version of the 3/4 connector which is 1/2 on
each side as I want it go where the flange of a 1/2 connector would clash
with a brick.
Also why the strange distribution of lift arm lengths - I have found a need
for a five with teeth on the end holes and for a four and a six without.
I also want a 'triangle' that actually is, i.e. 3 or 2 on top decreasing to
one. This would enable me to create spring hangers which don't take up
masses of room but are still rigid.
Does anyone else have any ideas (or can tell me why the ones I've mentioned
are not necessary!)?

| (...) I assume they have their reasons :-) Nevertheless I have resorted to modifying liftarms to meet some of these requirements myself, for example, cutting up 6 or 7 length liftarms into 2, 3 or 4 length pieces. These can be incredibly useful for (...) (24 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

| I've modified quite a few of my parts to create new ones. For those of us lucky to have tens of thousands of pieces in our collection, cutting up a few pieces doesn't hurt too much. Axles can be cut to just about any length under 12L. I was making (...) (24 years ago, 4-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

| Conical gears in all the standard gear sizes, PLEASE!!!! Bring back the half bushings with the teeth, and put teeth on more of the lift arms. It's too hard to do anything at angles other than 90 degrees. (24 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

| I'd like to see a Remote controll interface for the RCX that has a little touch pad simular to manual control box found in the Technic controll center2 and the one with the mechanical Tyranasoaurus (forgot the set #'s)you know the Yellow round (...) (24 years ago, 17-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)
