Has anyone come up with a design for a steerable live axle? With the spacing
needed for the differential and the substructure for the wheel pinnions, I have
been unsuccessful in building a modular axle that is narrow enough for
practical use. Any help?

| Julien, (...) have (...) TLC have! The 8880 super car has 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steer. (I think the 8448 also has 4 wheel drive? Someone correct me if I'm wrong!) They designed special parts for it though - I haven't seen a good implementation done (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

| (...) I tried something a bit unusual to this end with a some znap axles John Barnes sent me. It actually worked quite well, although the drive train took a wee bit of torque to turn - the new gear motors managed it with no difficulty at a gear (...) (24 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)
