The engine is ready for take off. The new construction give more stability and
looks good. It's like a P&W?? No adjusting necessery like the old version. Each
cylinder keep his position.
The radial engine can be powered with a 2838 motor and turns up to 1650t/min. I
used glycerin oil to reduce the noise and prevents the segments of the piston
does not hang on the lower and sharp edge of the cylinder. The position of the
piston in the cylinder is lower than the traditionnal position.
The first application of this engine was to mount it on a power-puller. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/samrotule/seltz2004/p1240011.jpg
Real power-puller: http://www.chez.com/pullinghue/rdphotos.html
But the engine is better designed for mounting on a airplane of WW2.
I think that this engine comes to supplement the range of the existant straight
or V motors.
