In tinkering with my new robot thingy, I've come up with a design someone
might find useful. I realize that it may be a bit on the obvious side to
many of you advanced LEGO roboticists; however, I've seen a few people
requesting more basic information on this list, so I've decided to submit it
anyway.
Basically, I was confronted with a situation in which I wanted to pass
powered crossaxles through a Large Technic Turntable (without restricting
its motion, obviously). It is fairly straightforward to pass a single
powered crossaxle through the Large Turntable's center, but I wanted two.
You can see an image of my design (MLCAD screen capture, 30kb) here:

Alternatively, you can download the .dat file here:

Issac.

This is cool. I just wanted to mention that MLCad is a really decent
program. I hope Michael will develop it further for the Mac, but then again,
have a look at Dave baum's site for info on his graphics for
his new book:

One tip, you might want to convert the images from MLCad to GIFs - which are
better at compressing line drwaings and uniformly shaded areas. JPG
compression
tends to leave ghosts around sharp contrast points, which makes gears hard
to understand....
