Hello all,
I've posted pictures of my newest robotic creation, RoboArm I.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=16747

RoboArm actually happend by accident, I was tryin to find the simplest
method to drive a turntable using 2 micro motors. I found a solution I was
happy with using only a few parts. Realizing how lightweight this was I
figured it would make a good wrist for a robot arm. RoboArm I was born.

RoboArm I contains 11 motors, and is mostly controlled by Eric Sophie's
Technic Control Center. Thanks Eric :)  Pnuematics were used to open and
close the claw. Lego weighted elements (also thanks to Eric) were used in
conjuntion with a battery box to balance the structure. The battery box is
used to fill the blue airtanks.

I tried to explain what the arm can do, except I dont know all the technical
terms to describe the ranges of motion the arm is capable of. It can do
alot, look at the pictures :)

But anyways..  RoboArm I was alot of fun to build, and alot of fun to play
with, I'm thinking of taking it apart real soon so I can create RoboArm II.
My MOC's litterally have a lifetime of less then a week..hehehe

That is a very impressive piece of engineering. I find it hard to comment on a particular part. It is all very well done. I hope you took a little video of it in action before it is dismantled. OH SNAP!! That's really cool! And then Robo Arm 2!!! Dang it looks complicated, can't wait to shake it's hand in person. ;) Oh man, look at all those cool components! Drool! Legomaster (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)
