Hmm, well. It's a good selection of white parts and some new vaguely-useful
dark-red elements, but not much more...

There is a good selection of 'figs in this set. The database says 5 but it's
effectively seven, if you count the droideka which they probably could have
left out. Clonetroopers are kinda cool - their helmet crests give them a bit
of a "Buck Rogers" look... :-)

The ship is kinda boring looking, but then that's not really Lego's fault.

There are many strange and annoying design features, like the strangely open
midsection and wing pods with no undersides. Maybe watching the movie will
explain these things, I just hope it's not flaws in the Lego rendition of
the ship - but it probably is. The cockpit canopies don't open which is a
minor thing, what I find more objectionable is the shape of the canopies
which don't really lend themselves to being openable (the same canopy is
used in 7143). This new canopy type sucks, especially when we have so many
good existing canopies of similar size.

Not as much play value as I thought it would have, mainly due to rather poor
design of the wing and fuselage pods. Sections can detach, but that seems to
be mainly due to the way you construct the model, they certainly don't look
functional when detached from each other.

Overall, I'm rather disappointed with this set. It's not as juniorised as
the Millenium Falcon, but being white its parts aren't as good - and it's
not a patch on 7171 Mos Espa Podrace, which blew it away both in terms of
the rendition of the vehicles and the parts bonanza.

6 out of 10. It would have been 5, but it's a set with little juniorisation
so it's good for parts and stuff (oh, and clonetrooper armies!). I'd
recommend buying it on discount (well, for those who don't already, that
is!).
