So, obviously nearly everyone has already seen the images that appeared on
brickshelf and disappeared no later. I am really surprised that nobody has
made them available at a different server. However, many people seem to
remember the contents of these images.
Well, to make it easier for everyone else to imagine what these dinosaurs
look like, here's a scan of the most important new elements:
http://www.brickmaster.de/dino/dino_6719.jpg
It's no retailer image or anthing like that, so I don't think it's any
problem to put that one up. It's more than unfair that a few people already
own these sets while others are not even allowed to see pictures of them, geez!
Although these new large dinosaurs are not very LEGO-like (they hardly have
studs etc.), it's still very fun to play with them. You can combine the
pieces in many different ways and build lots of different creatures with'em.
However, you can only use them to build something that looks liek a
Dinosaur! You can no more use these elements to build anything else that
comes to your mind, nothing but different dinosausrs - and that really gets
boring after a while!
Oh, BTW: the dinosaur shown on that image is not one of the JP3 ones,
although the JP3 sets will contain one of the larger ones as well, probably
in grey (as well as three smaller ones, for that matter). Since these two
sets will be part of the Studios line, they will come with classic minifigs
as well as some neat other stuff (such as a typical LEGOish airplane, a
large brown trunk and other things)...
Hopefully, the mysterious retailer images will be out in consumer-format
soon, which should make it a lot easier for us to talk about these things.
Bye, Christian --- xTIAN.

| That is so cool. That's what I thought Lego should've done with their dinosaurs originally. I'm excited! (I'm sure I expressed that in an earlier post, but I'm too lazy to find it) That's in true spirit of Lego IMHO if we can dwiddle around with the (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)
