Eric,

That looks fantastic!  I love the aesthetic appearance of the baseplates taking up
the entire surface, it really gives a great impression.  I'm very excited to see
how it looks!
Quickqestion, though - it looks like the bolt heads aren't quite flush with the
wood surface on the sides of the table - is there going to be any problem setting
tables against each other side by side without a gap between them?  There might be
some countersinking that I'm not seeing, I was just curious ...

On a related note, I realize that Iforgot to volunteer some of my items for the
show - I have a completed 2-story office building all done, and I'd still like to
try and get a motorized multi-action fire scene in place.  We'll see how that goes
...

OK I finished our first table (minus paint).

I basically took the parts of the designs from other clubs that I liked and
through them together.  Here are the stats.

1.  Dimensions 40.25" x 40.25" (4 32x32 baseplates by 4 32x32 baseplates)
2.  Hieght ~30"
3.  Adjustable feet for leveling the table
4.  Oversized bolt holes to account for slight variations from table to table.

Basically the table top dimensions I took from WAMALTC and the leg design I
took from PNLTC.

Here are pic's (With Baseplates) of the first table.  I will post again after
table 2 but probably not much after that.  With this design we need basically 2
legs times the number of tables + 2 legs.

Again let me know what you think and if anyone wants to help just let me know.
This is woodworking 101 so don't be afraid.  Plus it might be nice this
Saturday so it might be a good excuss for a couple of us to get together.

Eric Kingsley.

(...) Well you are right in that the bolts are not countersunk but that is because it is not necessary. All of the bolt holes in all of the tables are going to line up so the bolts will actually be used to hold the tables together. You can't tell in (...)
