K Bliss (Kristen? SP? ), Steve’s wife

Kristin.  Two I's.  Just this once, I won't tell her you spelled it with
an E.  She *really* doesn't like it when people misspell her name.

Well, I apologize. You would not belive the number of times Sanburn has been
misspelled. Is it that hard? I shrudder to think how bad it would be if I
had a name like Pieniazek ir something! ; )

Jamey (SP?), Steve’s Bliss’s Son

Jamie.  He doesn't seem to care about spelling as much.

Ugh, am I good or what?

We left at 9:00PM, a few people stayed at the Bliss’s (Thanks again!) and

No problem.  Sorry about the mess.

No problem, you should see our apartment right now. Yes, honey, I will clean
it up tonight!

... the Big Boy Steve made was a real entertainer, ...

It was great, listening to trainheads, as they saw the Big Boy coming
around -- when non-LEGO people can recognize what we've built, we're
doing well! :)

Indeed.

... Many thanks go to the Bliss family, who provided lunch, so we
did not need to leave.

Again, no problem.  Kristin was a wonderful supporter and cheerleader
for the whole show.  She frequently complains about my lego habit, so
having her behind us was doubly great!

That is for sure. Be sure to send her my thanks again!

That is a great idea, maybe we need to get a cooler
for next year, get the ice and pop, etc. And just have that, save some $$
and get cold stuff! : )

That would be a very good idea.

Umm... cold Mountain Dew...... ummm...... that sounds so good right now, I
wish they did not move the machines to the back of the plant, I have to walk
~10 minutes to get there! : )

Chris decided to have some fun, and had a plane crash into one of the
skyscrapers, with medical, fire, etc. on scene. We had to do something after
the Mc’D’s burned down last year.

What's next, a nuke crater?

Yes! Maybe a collapse at the construction site?

... Most of us headed
back to Steve Bliss’s house, and we had a good time talking about LEGO
items, and playing Euchre (SP?)  until  1:30AM, Chris Leach and I barely won
against two rookies, ugh! Amy played a mean game, though. It was a sqeaker!

Ha!  We'll get you, next time!

Bring it on!

The labels and such were a great idea, we need to continue to do
that, and I will do my track for the next show.

Yes.  And *everyone* needs to label, because sometimes, labels fall off.

Yes, I will go through my stuff again, and make sure. I have to get my track
this time. What colors are available? Pink? ; )

So far people have marked with:

- blue paint marker
- white labels with name/initials written in pen
- white w/ red stripe mailing labels (in small pieces)
- multi-colored metallic star stickers
- black dots
- initials in permanent black marker
- kitten stickers

Did I miss any?

:)

Steve

I think you got them all, except Steve R was using white paint dots I thought.

Scott, I am very sorry but that means you can only use Pink. :-) Or yellow,
or green...

Do we have to worry about what other clubs do?  (just in case) If so it may
be good to do a master marking list somewhere!

I don't think it's a big concern.  Odds are if several clubs are getting
together to do a layout, each group will have it's own area (if only for
ease of setup/teardown).  There's also the fact that it's pretty long odds
of two people marking their track in the exact same way - someone on your
list has 'black dots' - I betcha that I could tell their track and James P's
track apart - even though he has 'black dots' too.  They're going to be in
different places.
It might be something to keep in mind for ILTCO and their roving train
convention that's apparantly in the works, though.

Where'd you get the stickers? It's not easy being green... <GD&R>

Model paint.

It's not easy being Brown, either.  ;)

Well, I gotta ask.. why AREN'T you using brown paint then? (there is no
color that's an obvious choice to associate with my name, but for people
that have one???)

Did you ever see that index card? One side says "green" in red letters, and
the other side says "red" in green letters...

Because brown doesn't show up very well against dark grey.  Bright, easily
distinguished colors make sorting out what track belongs to who much faster.

Ya, ya, refute me with practical details. Just use Fluorescent Brown(tm) (1).

FUT o-t.fun

1 - I don't think there is such a color but there "could be"... mix
flourescent green and orange and see what you get!
