I know it was discussed to death months ago, but I was looking for some links to
the inventories at the pick a brick stores (assuming all stores are the same)
and also the shape of the bricks that gives you the maximum
bricks-per-container.  I remember these topics being discussed but I couldn't
find the links.  Thanks!

Ondrew Hartigan (who works at the LEGO store in Woodfield Mall near Chicago)
posted this inventory a few months ago:
http://news.lugnet.com/market/buy-sell-trade/?n=16187  That post also has links
to pictures of what a cup's worth of bricks looks like.  Since then, he's also
posted this: http://news.lugnet.com/market/buy-sell-trade/?n=16260  that shows
the new additions to the P.A.B. inventory at his store.  When I went there, they
had run out of 1X1 trans-red tiles, 1X4 light blue bricks, 1X4 dusty blue bricks
and 2X2 red corner slopes.

Ondrew also posted this: http://news.lugnet.com/general/?n=44284  that shows how
to get lots of 2X4's in the large size cups.

Please keep in mind though that Pick-a-Bricks can vary from store to store.

Hope this helps,

I realllly spent much time to get the inventory for the one at LLCA up and
going:

http://www.landofbricks.com/legoland/pickabrick.html

But once it got going I saw that every single time I went the selection changed
a great deal and there was just no way I could keep up. I go to LLCA between 3
and 5 times a month and even with that it changes too often and would just take
up too much time to figure out what was gone and what was new. Maybe if I did
not have two little kids pulling me away to take thim on some rides I could
spend more time on it - but not at this point, lol.

You can see in the pictures on my site that the selection at LLCA is much larger
than any of the stores - and due (I assume) to more people going there in a day
than prob go to a Lego store in a week (and a few people buying K8's at a time)
- the selection changes much more often.

I will note that the selection at LLCA has got better over time (but not as good
as the selection I have seen pics of at the other LL parks).

I would love to see the tips and tricks of getting the most into a cup. I am
just glad we do not have to deal with that at LLCA.
