I don't see that these prices make any more sense than the average eBay
madness: some prices are quite low, some are quite high, some seem about
fair. I guess that's an auction for you -- depends on the day, and who was
there.
Just picking a few of the many prices I can't understand:
$105 787 LEGO STAR WARS "MOS ESPA PODRACE" #894 DATE 1999
$140 558 LEGO PIRATE SYSTEM "CARIBBEAN CLIPPER" #6274 DATE 1989
$60 3 (2) LEGO SPACE SYSTEM BLACKTRON "MESSAGE-INTERCEPT BASE"
#6987 AND "INVADER" #6894 DATE 1987/1988
See? All over the map...

I felt kinda sorry for the guy who won Mos Espa, don't know how long he'd been
there but I think the only thing he won was that and the other four little SW
sets.
And I assume you think it was the Blacktron lot that went kinda cheap? Then
you'll be glad to know it went to a good home-- mine! :D
BTW the BT1 lot was the first LEGO lot and third overall while the SW
lots were the last LEGO lots auctioned, so that could have had something to do
with the prices.
