I can't believe my message was the last one in the Memphis column, and I wrote
it 6 years ago!
I have since started using my Yahoo! e-mail as my main one (
Savannius@NOSPAMPLEASEyahoo.com ), I haven't used LDraw in a bit, but still keep
up with all the updates, and I'd still like to attend a LUG or LTG meeting (and
still need transportation outside of Memphis.)
I've since broken down most of my physical Legoes by color or function (slopes,
antennae, minifig accs., etc.), but most still fit into a triple-bagged grocery
bag. (Paper, of course.)

That sounds great. I may have to work on Saturdays, but I'll let you know
something. I may be able to work out later meetings easier, esp. once U of M
lets out. Despite it's overwhelming size, I might be able to shoehorn my
(currently visible) entire LEGO collection into something convenient (or 1 big
Rubbermaid, if I owned such).

The get together in town sounds great also.
It's good to know that there is someone in town that I can exchange ideas with.
I still have a few models I made in earlier years that can be easily
re-assembled. If you deal with any of the L-CAD programs, I could always use
suggestions, such as with my large Articulated Battroid/Mecha project, or with
custom-made elements.

LEGO so I would love to be able to get ahold of them and send it on it's way.

Followups to LUGNET.ORG

I would like to add CARLUG and Midsouth LTC to the LUGMAP.  To do so I need to
know the region that you represent.  Are both just Arkansas? or are they more
broad.  Also what does CAR stand for? C_entral AR_kansas?

The LUGNET Admins may want to add a newsgroup for you as well.

We had a loose group of people in Ohio.  Then a couple people just started
organizing events.  BrikWars was the event we used to start getting groups
together.  Although, the gather-at-Troy's-house-and-build-something-neat
sessions are doing well too.

I suggest just trying to organize a get-together.  But, I'd caution not to
wait until everybody who is interested can make it.  You'll never resolve all
the schedules.  Just pick a time that a few people can definately make and get
started.  Other people will make other sessions.

I would love to be a part of ARLUG. My parents live in the area and I am in
town frequently enough to play.  I travel frequently as part of my job anyway.

I frequently find great Lego deals at the Targets and Wal-Mart's throughout
Arkansas.
