VIA Rail Safety Day in Halifax cancelled this year

VIA was going to have their annual rail safety day (safety lecture for kids,
tour the train, displays including my LEGO layout) on May 1 this year, but Old
Man Winter has gotten the last laugh. There were so many snow days this year
most schools are not doing field trips to make up for lost time. The general
public is welcome, but it mainly done for the schoolkids, so it has been
canceled for this year as only one school was interested.
They are planning to have the display next year, during Rail Safety Week, the
last week of April.
