Thursday May 2nd VIA is hosting their annual Rail Safety Day at the Train
Station in Halifax. It is geared towards school kids, but the general public is
welcome. There will be model train displays (including my LEGO one), safety
talks, assorted other displays (varies from year to year), and you can tour the
VIA train.
It is scheduled to run from 9 am til 4 pm, but many of the people pack up after
lunch, as the schools are usually there in the morning. Letters went out to the
local schools and daycares, who are asked to book their time with VIA, to make
sure there is room for all.
