You're just now getting the Batcopter? That came out 10 months ago! Well, I
guess on the plus side you'll be able to buy the best of the questionable
vehicle sets to help make up for the new designs. The four current sets only
have four things going for them:
1. Mr. Freeze prices will drop (okay, this is only a plus if you don't have a
fat load of Mr. Freeze minifigs sitting in your Bricklink store).
2. Robin got a haircut (seriously, Tim Drake in a pompadour?).
3. Harley Quinn. Nuff said.
4. They did _a_ Tumbler. Not a good Tumbler (still better than their rendition
of the Burtonmobile), and it's bigger than the A-Wing, but they at least did _a_
Tumbler. Everyone's on their own for the Batpod, though.

Thanks for the input. Happy building!

Until yesterday I had never seen the Batcopter at any retail store, only at
Shop @ Home. So I assumed it was new-to-retail.

Wow, you guys really do get the short end of the stick (on the other hand, while
I can still find the Battank here almost a year later, the Batcopter has been
sold out at retail for several months). No, there were seven sets in the first
year, and last year there were two (I actually found them during the NMRA
National Train Show). I'm not sure why they ran so light last year, but four
sets per year would be a nice middle ground now that they have a decent stock of
villains out there. They still need to make Poison Ivy semi-affordable (she's
the only villain who hasn't been released in a vehicle set), and it's been a
long time since I've seen Catwoman at retail (being in the least expensive set
from the first wave, that was the only set that sold out before the end of
2006).
