Yup, just like Pakistan and Indonesia and the Phillipines so that may not be
the best metric. Wasn't aware it was just "his" war though. The bomb that
went off in Bali last month impacted a lot of good Aussies and not very many
US residents, ne? Nevertheless I for one am glad that we have friends like
you guys even if we don't alway see eye to eye on everything.

Just like Chile and Peru, so that may not be the best metric either. (But
free trade is always a good thing.)
So those metrics aren't working for me.
But just out of curiosity who do you think the major countries are? What's
your list?
How did you decide? What metrics make sense? Population? GDP? Land Mass?
Ability to project power worldwide? Influence on world popular culture?
I dunno. I think Oz has a shot in some of them (land mass, influence on
culture, although I think the jury's out on Kylie as a positive...), I
guess, but not all. (Population, GDP for example)
But Oz shouldn't feel singled out by TLC as being the worst served. That's
just whinging. TLC underserves a lot of places one way or another. We ought
to be pulling together instead of complaining about how other countries get
a better deal.
