Dear Lego Direct; With the introduction of the Lego Factory/Pick a Brick site you have given to us a huge resourse. Thank you. There are some items that I, personally, would love to see reintoroduced to the Pick a Brick assortment. I understand that (...) (17 years ago, 29-Apr-07, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: 10183 instructions in PDF please?

(...) I'm caught with a older operating system, too. I just realized that I won't be able to run LDD and see any of the instructions. This won't prevent me from buying the hobby train set, but it will prevent me from buying any other set with LDD (...) (17 years ago, 28-Mar-07, to lugnet.lego.direct, FTX)

Re: 10183 instructions in PDF please?

(...) While LDD 2 does have a HTML export, it has a couple of drawbacks: It produces fairly low-res images The images are all from the same viewpoint (wherever you're viewing from in LDD when you export I think) The images are clipped if the (...)   Re: 10183 instructions in PDF please?

I have reported this situation to a contact within LEGO CAnada, and hopefully they can work it up the chain/get someone to quickly create PDFs, surely LDD 2.0 can be used to just generate a printable version of the instructions. Heck I'd do it (...) (17 years ago, 27-Mar-07, to lugnet.lego.direct, FTX)

Re: 10183 instructions in PDF please?

(...) I completely agree with the above statement. I can NOT run LDD on my computer due to its operating system. This problem has kept me from buying sets before and will likely again unless an alternate format for instructions is implemented for at (...) (17 years ago, 27-Mar-07, to lugnet.lego.direct, FTX)

  10183 instructions in PDF please?

As I have (URL) on my blog>, I have been unable to get LDD2 running on my PC, and (URL) I'm not alone>. This means when I buy this set, I will not be able to view instructions for the 29 alternate models. I request that TLC please provide these (...)   Re: Very poor customer service from Lego Shop at Home

(...) Wait a minute....you turned down over 2,500 LEGO pieces...because it was the wrong scale...and then you made your Mom go through the hassle of returning the set??? Dude, let me trade one of my Christmas presents for it - oh, wait, I liked (...) (17 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.lego.direct)

(...) I agree fully. My nephews picked out a couple small Bionicle sets, which I'm not at all interested in, for me this year (and last year actually), but I accepted them with a smile and a thanks. I didn't even return them to the store. To do (...) (17 years ago, 10-Jan-07, to lugnet.lego.direct) !

Re: Very poor customer service from Lego Shop at Home

(...) I think the claim from Lego that the set had been opened is also a possible cause for complaint. But while it may not have been opened by Gregory or his mother, you never know what happened to the package on the return trip. Otherwise, I (...)   Re: Very poor customer service from Lego Shop at Home

(...) Seems to me they were acting entirely in accord with their return policy. Always read the fine print - (URL) "Custom items such as LEGO Factory models and Pick A Brick orders cannot be returned or exchanged." I guess it could be argued that (...)   Re: Very poor customer service from Lego Shop at Home

(...) I think you missed the real point. It wasn't the price per piece that he was dissatisfed with. It was the set. Remember, not everyone who likes LEGO builds MOCs. The first thing I noticed was that his mother didn't notice the scale. Something (...) (17 years ago, 9-Jan-07, to lugnet.lego.direct, FTX)

Re: Very poor customer service from Lego Shop at Home

(...) Pardon my naivety, but at 2,776 (per the box top) pieces, (URL) set 5526> seems to be a fairly decent way to get a variety of legos at an average of $0.047 per peice even if you don't want to build the set using Lego's (online only) (...)   Very poor customer service from Lego Shop at Home

I wanted to share my extreme displeasure with the Lego Shop at Home service. My mother, knowing what a big fan of Lego I was, decided to surprise me with a set this Christmas, the Lego Factory set 5526. At the time she didn't realize that it was not (...)
