Last I heard, they had announced that they weren't planning to make any new sets
this year (though they still have the license), which means there likely won't
be any sets based on the upcoming movie. They are, however, having TT Games
make a Harry Potter game in the style of the LEGO Star Wars/Indiana Jones/Batman
games, which will cover the first four movies. There was a trailer out at some
point, but all it had were cutscenes and a general announcement of what the game
would be (HP 1-4) and when it would come out (next year, I believe).

Hmm, I hadn't heard any such rumors, but it would make some sense to have some
sets released in conjunction with the LEGO Harry Potter video game next year.

I'd read that they were releasing another Lego Harry Potter videogame. I didn't
read or hear about anyt new sets coming out, since the series has become darker.

If you want more on this from LEGO's point of view, I asked Steve Witt about
Harry Potter LEGO a couple months back:

Yeah, I had a feeling it was going that way. The first two movies produced a
deluge of HP sets. The third came with a decent spread. The fourth had a
handful, and the fifth only had a third Hogwarts, but not a lot of
movie-specific sets.
And actually, I think it's less that there's no way to produce kid-friendly sets
that tie in with the movie, as it is the fact that they're probably concerned
with having the HBP movie logo on the box. Even if it's just a scene where
everyone is sitting in a room eating popcorn, parents are going to see that logo
on the box and immediately think of how dark the movie is.supposed to be.
And there were people who were hoping that we'd see a LEGO Harry Potter game
done in the style of the LEGO Star Wars/Indiana Jones/Batman games...

No surprise here but confirmed by article at MuggleNet:
"No Half-Blood Prince toys from LEGO this year
Our friends at MillionairePlayboy.com were at the 2009 New York City toy fair we
told you about yesterday. While there, they had a chance to speak with a rep
from LEGO who revealed no Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince toys are in the
works:
My sad news to report that there are no plans on producing any new Harry Potter
sets. With the films getting darker, it has become very hard to produce
kid-friendly sets..."

Actually, I am surprised that, with Book 7 (and Movie 5) coming out in July,
we have not seen more HP related MOCs. Admittedly, I must blame myself
first, as I have been too busy with real life recently to put anything
together. I originally wanted to build something for the release of Deathly
Hallows. I may yet still get around to it (4 weeks to go). :-)

I think theres a third possibility.
Yes. A VERY bad one.

Oh, cmon. Be realistic here. Just because he looks like a woman doesnt mean
he actually is one. He could be a cross-dresser, or midway through transgender
modifications.
