It started in 1957... when Axel Thomsen, a friend of Godtfred Kirk Christiansen who owned a doll house making factory in Lerum Sweden started making wooden box sets for LEGO sales in Sweden and Germany, the 2 countries that he was the LEGO Director (...) (11 years ago, 15-Jan-13, to lugnet.general)
