Hi all,

I received my Shopwith Camel set today and made a few images using my
Mindstorms webcam. The quality is not that good and I don't have enough time
for a complete set review either. For a few shots, please check this link:

http://www.brickmaster.de/Sopwith/index.htm

Highlights:

No completely new elements but certainly new color-shape combinations.
Lots of dkgrey, red tan and brown, many plates. COOL details on engine,
cockpit and chassis! But - Grr - extremely large stickers (close to 7191 but
not that many).

Not a typical sculpture set, but a welcome model for every LEGO collection.

Bye, Christian --- xTIAN.

(...) I am so anxious to get mine. Here in the US it shows that it will not ship until the end of May. It does look as though the model has some great details. I'm curious why this was presented as a sculpture instead of one of the Model Team (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-01, to lugnet.general)

I believe I spy a pair of lattice inner window shutters as the backing for the pilot's seat. If they're indeed brown, I can see some Castleheads looking for these (myself included!). Dave Christian Gemuenden <xtian@brickmaster.de> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.general)

As of right now, I get an 'Error loading page' - (60) Operation timed out. Is your site down or something, or is it something between where I am on the net and your provider? Cheers ... Geoffrey Hyde "Christian Gemuenden" <xtian@brickmaster.de> (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-01, to lugnet.general)

Thanks for the images. I think this set will stand out as a future classic, just as the Thatcher Perkins did 25 years ago. The combination of great design and lots of details, many of desireable parts and an affordable package is really unbeatable. (...) (24 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.general)
