Ooh, cool things. I like the Alpha-Team. I see red epaulettes!!!! Love
the bad guys there. I kind of like the anti-freeze podracer vanes on
that helicopter, and that helicopter looks pretty good. Looks like I'll
be buying quite a few Imperial Shuttles (it even looks like a decent
model). Tan 2x2 medium slope peaks in the Imperial AT-ST. Watoo's
Junkyard looks like a nice set of parts (and a new creature for castle
worlds...)

Well, gotta go. Probably more comments tomorrow...

Ok, more specific comments (some of these have been mentioned before):

1352: 2x2 round clock tile, grey windows
1353: grey 4x8 tiles w/2x6 center studs (container tops)
1354: green 6x6 boat bricks (green cutters!), green 1x2 half pyramid
bricks, green...
7316: neat set. I like the pattern on those tan 4x4 multi-slope pieces.
Looks like this set has another end station for the tube.
7317: those 4 stud diameter tubes will be neat for something, could be
some unusual colors (I'm not 100% convinced that there isn't odd
lighting of these martian sets, I could see a lot of that stuff actually
being grey not a purplish color), blue and red 2x2 radar dishes, red 2
piece hollow rocks, the 2x4x4 (or so) pieces that the hoses connect into
look neat.

In general, I like those Martian sets. I think they'll be fun and they
look like they have a good selection of parts, and not too much
juniorization.

Alpha-Team: as mentioned before, nice sets, I like the bad guys.
Interesting parts:

red arctic wall (too bad the glass looks like it's blue not trans red,
or trans orange [which is what I would love to get, I'd love to use
those walls in an Ice Planet 2002 base...)
red 6x6 octagonal domes
red 2x4x4 half cylinder
red 6x6 mesh radar dish
anti-freeze and red  pod racer vanes
neat emblems (probably stickers, which would be better than printed in
this case I think)
trans blue and trans red Star Wars canopies
red small dumper bin
trans red 2x4x3 shuttle doors
red epaulettes
trans red 1x4 brick (between those two fences on the right hand edge of
the big base)
6416 baseplate in grey
It looks to me like there is a rounded wall on the right hand side of
the base, that will be a cool element, looks like it would be 4x4x5
quarter circle
red sloped girder supports

7106: Looks like 4 of the new 4x4x5 quarter circle, cheaper set for
those who want an army of C3-POs
7146: Stormtrooper and imperial pilot!!! otherwise nothing spectacular
7166: red imperial guards!!!, nice design, white Star Wars wings and
engines,
7186: Watoo (looks like he's a head slipover piece like Chewy), white
and blue extreme slopes, small red space wheels, 2x2x2 boxes, tan huge
arches, green

8534: new large red flame piece (unfortunately has technic attachments)
8535: huge green axe (unfortunately looks like it has technic
attachments)
8536: interesting looking blade

8007: will be cool if parts are gold chrome, if they are just a goldish
color like the C3-PO minifig, it won't be as nice.

All in all, looks like some pretty good sets along with the usual dreck.
Looks like if there's any new castle, city, or adventurers, it may be
coming out in the middle or end of next year.

Frank

Yeah - now all we need is TLG to resurrect the small doors for the 1x4x3 train
window in GREY, and we can go hogwild with grey containers for trains.

   Are you sure this is a 4x4x5 quarter-cirle and not a half-round?
If so, **happy day!**  Finally, fully-scalable funnels!

It could be a half round, but the Alpha Team's enemie's base is built on
a 6416 style baseplate, and looks like it has a curved wall around the
stairs, which are a quarter circle, and the wall would be 4x4 to fit the
curve. It seems unlikely that they would make both a quarter and a half
circle (also, the half circle would start to get to be an awkward piece
to mold).
