The fuzzilogical side of me wants to say that Tyco is a 90% clone and
Megablox is an 80% clone and Tente is a 20% clone. :-)
[Hey, now there's a fun research project: Study the evolution of
construction toys and who came before whom. Did Erector come before
Technic? Did it inspire Technic? :-]

Heh heh, that sure begs for sub-categories, eh?
Say, what does "other" mean up there in "other-systems"? Does it mean non-
LEGO as in "other systems besides the LEGO System"? If so, it may be
confusing... For some people (casual enthusiasts, grandparents, etc.), the
DUPLO System and the PRIMO System aren't considered to be LEGO or "legos"
in the same way that LEGO-System-scale elements are. What then about the
TECHNIC System and the ZNAP System and the SCALA System? We wouldn't want
people accidentally thinking that non-LEGO-System products from LEGO would
belong there.
I think anything about other non-LEGO® systems would really need a hierarchy
name that clearly suggests "hear ye, hear ye, this is a hierarchy for all
types of construction toys -except- anything produced by the Lego Group."
But that's all getting pretty far outside LUGNET's sphere of focus. I'd
like to encourage talk of imitation brands or other construction toys about
as much as I'd like to encourage flaming debates over politics and religion.
Don't get me wrong -- I think all of that is great stuff; this just isn't
the place to nurture it.
You could say the .off-topic ng hierarchy is kind of like an anti-matter
containment field. :-)

Maybe there are clubs for those on Yahoo!.

Well, at least you didn't spill bongwater on the boxes. (Right? =:*)
