| Is anyone going to Gencon? I know there was a LUG meeting in Milwaukee at
the same time last year. I just want to know if I should bring BrikWars
equipment to the con for a pick-up game.

I'll be there!
I'm an inexperienced BrikWarior but I'd love to play. Since I'll be flying
from New Jersey to St. Louis and then driving up to Milwaukee, my abilty to
bring bricks is pretty limited. I will also be informally working for Rio
Grande Games, but aside from a few other time commitments, I would
reschedule in order to play! And I bet passers-by would be attracted to the
bricks too.

I know some other people were Lego gaming last year, but I only caught the
end of the fight. Undead in a chapel being assaulted by samurai.

We are traveling on Tuesday to the Lego outlet, Targets, and games shops in
Chicago then on to the con on Wed afternoon. Let me know if there is
anything you want me to bring, tech level, vehicles. I can start working on
terrain now. Several people dropped out for our yearly pilgrimage to
Milwaukee, so I should have plenty of room to bring supplies in the car.

The online registration messed up on me, so I have no events as of this
time, so let me know what your schedule might be so I can work around
whatever your schedule you may have at RGG.

PS Do you know if Lego Direct stopped making Cypress trees again??

Where is that?

I won't know my schedule until I am on site. Sorry. But it's flexible so if
we want to set aside some time, then I'm game (so to speak). I guess I prefer
lower tek to higher, but since you're putting the game together, I'll play
whatever. I could arrange to bring _some_ stuff too, so let me know. Are your
local friends going to be playing? If there were several people, we could do a
modular dungeon, space station, city block kind of thing.
Is there anyone else from LUGNET going to GENCON?

The Shops at North Bridge
520 North Michigan Ave
Space #300
Chicago, IL 60610
Basically downtown off of the Dan Ryan Expressway.
I am going to call ahead to see if they have any specials or hard to find
stuff.
You know Lego could make my life easier if they just took the stuff to
Gencon. Bwah ha ha ha ha ha.....ha......ha.............................

Lower tech sounds good. Castle modules would be great. Man I have to get
building. My friends shy away from Lego, they play Warhammer, Five Rings,
Necromunda, D&D, etc. Essentially they buy metal, I buy plastic. I run Lego
Pirate Wars, and Deadlands is a blast since the terrain comes apart.

I would not mind meeting the good people of GMLUG. The PHB sent my co-worker
to training so I have cover until he comes back which means I will miss
BrickFest. Again. Because of work, again. Gencon is the only time this year
that the boss will let me out of the cage and I intend to make the most of
it including sleeping in one day just to be a rebel and going to the
Safehouse.
I know there are other gamers who use Lego, you know who you are so just
de-lurk and join the discussion. We will find you sooner or later anyway.

I'll be there. I don't know if I'll have time for BrikWars, but I would
definitely stop by and meet my fellow Lugneters.

I will try to bring equipment for several battle groups, if you have special
figs bring them. I can bring the terrain. Finally, I can fill up the car
with my junk. Bwah ha ha ha ha ...........ha

I will be there, but I won't be able to participate in an event, because I'm
not able to mobilize any of my creations. I'm there to play in the
Continental Tournament for the Lord of The Rings CCG ( www.deciper.com ) for
a day or two, depending on my wins.
Later!

Good Luck, and I hope to see you there. Just look for the pirate flag in the
miniatures hall, several of them, small, large.
