Hey, how'd the Drake Equation work out?

You know, the value X, where:

     Prizes won by Adrian
     ----------------------  =  X
     Total prizes to be won

?  ;)  Can't wait to see photos!  (Actually
I don't even know if you were able to take
any cartage at all, having flown as you did.)
I'd check out the photos appearing on Brick-
shelf, except that my bandwidth for graphics
is terrible here in l'Afrique du Sud.

Hopefully the official rundown will be up
soon--the pictures of the Mecha Room that
I *have* seen were absolutely jaw-dropping.
Great job by Matt and Co., and hopefully one
of these years I'll actually make a Brickswest
   too!

   best

Well, since Brickswest is run a little differently (every MOC on display
isn't judged for a contest) I actually didn't have any creations involved in
any prize-awarding situations, so the X would be zero!  I decided to give
other people a chance :)

I brought stuff, but most of it, aside from the Mosaic, was seen at
Brickfest last year.

The Mecha display truly was amazing.  Pictures won't do Bryce's... thing any
justice.  The number of weird bionicle pieces in odd places was fascinating
and breathtaking.  Best overheard quote of the event?  Recalled by either
Dave or Bryce, I forget which:

A woman was walking her kid's past Bryce's... thing, but told her kids
"Don't look at it, it's Satanic!"

My pics (what few of them I actually took) should be up tonight.  I'll scan
in the salient images that my wife took with her regular camera once the
film's developed.

Adrian

(who's already started to think about and gather pieces for the continuation
of "Best Large Space MOC" at Brickfest)
