We have numerous opportunities for you to Get Involved at BrickFest 2005..
Bring your favorite MOCs (My Own Creation) to show to your fellow AFOLs as well
as the general public during the Expo. The best way to guarantee space for your
creations is to fill out a MOC Display Card for each one. These cards will be
printed by the BrickFest Staff a week before the event and will be waiting for
you when you arrive, designating your display space in the proper theme area or
room. http://www.brickfest.com/registration/mocs.php
We have Community Projects: http://www.brickfest.com/projects.php Such as the
Great Ball Contraption, Castle MOC, Community Train Layout, Project Moonbase,
The Dark Room, Micro Display, & Classic sets display.
Competitions: http://www.brickfest.com/contests.php Animation Contest, Vig
THIS!, Micro MOC OFF!, Robotics Competition (Mine Rescue, FLL Challenge,
Super-Mega Sumo, Tag-Team Sumo, ... and the fun goes on)
Get building if you have not already started. You could enter the “Build The
Trust” building competition sponsored by LEGO and the National Trust for
Historic Preservation. If you have not yet filled out the registration form
please take a moment. http://www.brickfest.com/buildthetrust.php

If you’ve never been to a BrickFest, BrickFest is an event that is organized by
AFOLs for AFOLs in order to create strong and rich community. It is organized by
volunteers, and as such, we can always use more volunteer hands. To join in and
become part of the BrickFest Volunteer Team please contact Janey Red Brick
janeyofthejungle@yahoo.com. The more you participate the more fun it becomes for
everyone!
The Expo portion of the event is a great way to share your enthusiasm about our
hobby with the general public. The theme and area coordinators will welcome
assistance from those of you who want to guide and help direct the flow of
traffic as well as maintain the security of the displays. After you check in let
the theme Coordinators know if you are available to help. Your efforts here will
help provide a great experience for our general public guests which in turn
helps fund BrickFest year to year.
And finally Photo Journalists are needed to gather media for the BrickFest 2005
DVD in order to capture the BUZZ of this years event. Please contact Todd Thuma
nospamDVD.@toddthuma.info for details. See you all in a few weeks!
