Besides all the other stuff, plenty of time should be set aside to come visit me
at the Potomac Mills LEGO Outlet.  We've got it up on the calender here, and
we're looking forward to packing the store full of AFOL's.

Sounds great! Although I'll most likely try to stop by earlier (thursday if
possible) so I won't just find empty shelves :D

This should be loads of fun, specially since we don't have any serious LEGO
discounts here in Europe and now with the low Dollar it should be even better :D

That's not really a problem.  Last year, the "Brickfest Sale" was Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday.

While most people where there when the store opened on Friday, as could be seen
by the VERY small number of people at Brickfest, I went over Friday night, after
everything was done at BF, and found everything I was looking for still in
stock.

I was told the store didn't put everything out, so there was really no reason to
swamp them on Friday morning.

I expect them to do the same thing this year, which means you should plan on
going anytime Friday or Saturday.  And then, if they have stuff they really want
to get rid of, there may be a bigger sale on Sunday.

Brickfest 2003, I managed to get there on Thursday night...and there were a
couple items that were of very short supply...so I picked an item up that was
not likely going to make the "friday rush".

Holding the sale over 3 days was cool.  That Sunday had pretty decent specials.
....and there was a few occasions where a couple of ISD's went out
by mistake at the full 30% off discount.... (oops!) :)

There was plenty of Harry Potter and Starwars stuff trying to be cleared out
(factory rejects)...even on Sunday (when the prices were insanely low!)

My memory fails me what was being cleared out in Brickfest 2002.  All I remember
from it was it was packed like sardines and Metroliners were a
rare breed.  :)
