After taking a few days to recouperate and to find the small slips of paper I
wrote the winners on (no mistakes this time), I am ready to announce the winners
of BrickFest 2003 Animation Competition.

In the category of Best Technical Animation the award goes to Kristian Sandberg
and Rune Sandberg from Norway for the Nightwish song "Over the hills and far
away."

In the category of Best Music Video, also known as the Audience Choice Award,
the award goes to Paul Hollingsworth and Sarah Stinchcombe for their Avril
Lavigne "SK8R BOI" song.

Finally, in the category of Best of Show awarded to the animation that was both
a superior job in animation and an excellent visualization of the music chosen,
the award goes to Doug James and Jared Gilbert for their Cartoon Network
Orchestra song "Powerhouse".

I also wish to thank Ben B from Egoless Productions for submitting the
Evanescence song "Fallen" and Nick Maniatis for The Cure song "A Forest". Also
entries were fabulous and were an excellent example of great animation and music
representation.

I personnally thank all of those that attended the presentation and I hope
everyone enjoyed their time.

Stay tuned animators for another animation competition, or two, coming to
BrickFest PDX.

Todd
