So BricksWest has the world's fastest time for building a 10030 Imperial
Star Destroyer. They didn't really beat anyone for this position, because they
were the first. I'm sure other people have thought that it would be great for
the attendees of Brickfest 2003 to try to beat them using the same amount of
people. HOWEVER, (and I can't blame you for thinking I'm psycho for suggesting
this) wouldn't it be fun if Brickfest 2003 set a world's record for the fastest
DISMANTLING of the Star Destroyer?
We could have a assembly race 1 day, and then the disassembly race the next
day. OR we could even have them back-to-back where the taker-aparters dive in
the second that the putter-togetherers are done. (If we do this, we'll have to
make sure that someone video records it; otherwise people could look at the
final result of all our labor and claim we didn't do diddly squat.)

| LEt's see.... 30 lbs @ 32 ft/s/s = 960 ft-lbs/s/s Figure you need one or two extra drops... 5 lbs + 3 lbs @ 32 ft/s/s = 256 ft-lbs/s/s Total = 1216, for more force than requried. Answer: 15 seconds to dismantle Paul S (21 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
